- A full moon ceremony is a spiritual ritual that takes place during the full moon, usually on or near the night of the full moon. It is a time to celebrate and honor the natural cycles and rhythms of the universe. Full moon ceremonies often involve meditation, reflection, journaling, chanting and other activities which may be conducted in a group setting or alone. These rituals typically have a beginning and an end that mark the beginning or completion of personal or collective spiritual journeys. The purpose of such ceremonies is to connect with oneself, nature and one’s higher power.
